As the fastest growing school division in the Commonwealth, Loudoun County Public Schools must continue to build new schools and remodel older facilities to accommodate the county's current and future school-age population. Public school enrollment has more than doubled from a decade ago to 47,350 pupils counted on September 30, 2005. By Fall 2009, Loudoun County Public Schools is projected to have an enrollment just under 65,000 students.
